Inspired by silicone wound dressings, Restorative Balm is a blend of synthetic emollients, petrolatum and medical-grade silicone gel polymers that create a breathable liquid membrane to protect your skin while it heals. Being “breathable” is important because if your injury was completely covered, it could lead to wound maceration. This is when your skin starts to degrade from being too wet, something that can hamper healing and lead to inflammation and infection.
How to use
With clean hands, rub Restorative Balm between your fingers to warm it up before applying it to the affected area.
A thin layer of Balm is applied twice daily until any flaking or dryness has subsided.
